Meh

The book is meh. I've learned some stuff, and it can actually interesting at times, but it's also boring at times. The one thing that annoys me the most about this textbook is the authors' constant use of "one study says" without actually saying anything about the study. It's just "one study says that 94% of people do this". One chapter actually had about 15 different "one study says" statements!
But overall, the book is just meh to me. My teacher said that if he teaches the class again, he'd try to find another book.

A lot of teaching book have fluff and not a lot of value. This book covers AIS pretty good and also the COSO and ERM frameworks.

Great for students leaning towards becoming an auditor in public accounting!

Interesting course for accounting majors and highly recommend this text for those trying to head towards the auditor route for their careers in public accounting. Great examples and lessons regarding internal controls and the importance of segregation of duties and access. If you're an accounting student, this course is fun and hopefully your college uses this book!
